Minion Tier List

Early Access minion tier list for Be The Final Boss. Best minions ranked for hero wave defense and Souls efficiency.

Early Access Ranking — Minions

This minion tier list reflects Early Access community testing in Be The Final Boss. Minions are summoned with Souls and form the backbone of castle defense. Rankings prioritize path coverage, sustained DPS, range utility, and upgrade scalability as hero waves intensify.

Specific minion names will be refined as datamining and high-wave testing expand. At launch, categories below describe archetypes players encounter — adjust exact names when the game UI confirms them. Check updates after patches for tier shifts.

S Tier Minions

S-tier minions excel on the primary hero path without demanding perfect micro. They combine reliable range or melee coverage with upgrade paths that stay relevant past wave ten. In Early Access testing, high-range units that benefit from choke points consistently outperform short-range units placed incorrectly.

Invest Souls here first after starter units if you can afford their base summon. Pair with minion damage skills for multiplicative value. See minions guide for placement.

  • S Tier: Long-range focus-fire minions on main paths
  • S Tier: Area damage minions at narrow choke points

A and B Tier Minions

A-tier minions are excellent with correct placement or when buffed by specific skill branches. They may lack range or require secondary lane support to match S-tier efficiency. Most players fill rosters with A-tier units until S-tier upgrade costs drop enough to justify switching.

B-tier minions work in niche lanes or early waves but fall off as hero health scales. Use them when Souls are limited and something on the path beats nothing. Upgrade B-tier on the main path before summoning new C-tier units in side lanes.

  • A Tier: Single-target high DPS melee interceptors
  • A Tier: Mid-range minions with strong upgrade breakpoints
  • B Tier: Starter-equivalent units held past wave five without upgrades
  • B Tier: Slow utility minions without damage support

C and D Tier — Avoid for Now

C-tier minions need buffs or only work in experimental builds. Early Access players should not invest Souls heavily here unless testing for fun. D-tier placements indicate units that die too fast, lack range to cover paths, or cost too many Souls for their wave impact.

Tier placement can change when Apparently Champions adjusts numbers. A D-tier minion today might become B-tier tomorrow. Re-read this page after balance posts on @ApparentlyGames.

Souls Investment Priority

Rankings assume you upgrade the minion on your busiest lane before diversifying. Two upgraded A-tier minions often beat one S-tier and one empty lane. Cross-reference build tier list for full loadouts and redeem betheboss for 50 bonus Souls at account start.

Use wave defense fundamentals — tier list power cannot fix heroes walking unopposed to the castle.
